Jan Lake & Area: The Great North Lodge is located in
Northern Saskatchewan on a protective cove called Doupe Bay. Jan Lake is a very
sheltered lake with lots of islands, which provides fisherman with many places
to fish out of the wind or bad weather conditions. It also lets individuals,
friends and family fish for Walleye and Northern Pike, which are abundant no
matter where you go. After your catches enjoy a delicious shore lunch, there is
no better meal in the world then fresh fish straight from the cold waters of Jan
Lake. This is one of those lakes that you can maybe see wildlife such as Loons,
Bald Eagles, Pelicans, Deer, Moose, Caribou and so many other animals. These are
great sights to see along with the great fishing. Lodge: The main lodge had 6 motel units with
private baths and a licensed dinning room that serves home cooked meals with
family style portions. We also provide off sale beer and room service. Cabins:
Six
lake front cabins are fully
modern with their own private decks, propane barbecues, picnic tables,
chairs, cooking utensils and bedding. Each cabin has a propane stove with
oven, propane heater fridge, coffee perk, microwave and a screened porch
area to enjoy the most beautiful and always changing sunsets. Also the
Northern Lights can come out at the most unexpected times. Boats
and Motors: We use SV-16 ft deep bottom Lund boats
with new 25 hp Mercury engines. We also have 16 ft Rebel boats with swivel
seats, live well, rod holders and a flat bottom walk area. These boats have new
30 hp Mercury engines. Air Strip: We
provide a 3500 ft gravel airstrip 300 ft wide with 100 ft bumpers. This
is a registered strip. Other Services Available:
